In November of 2012 Bushwick teamed up with Jack Straw Productions to create original music inspired by the Jack Straw Writers Anthology 2012. For this event, each Bushwick artist was paired with one of the writers from the Anthology.  And it was the poetry of Gabriela Denise Frank that inspired Joy Mills to write this song.

Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, Bushwick Show Teaser Trailer Video

So you’ve probably heard by now that we have a big book inspired show happening this Friday – original music inspired by Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.

It is going to be a lot of fun  There will be music, friends, food and a plethora of icy boozy drinks!

What’s that you say?

“I want to come to the show but I haven’t read the book yet.”

No problem, Bushwick has got your back. All you need to do is watch this short video (created by Aimee Zoe, written by Joy Mills) and funny man Emmett Montgomery will fill you in on everything you need to know about Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.

 

Read And Destroy: The Scoop On Bushwick’s New Traveling Folk/Rock Band

Our fearless leader Geoff Larson is driving along the beach in Ocean Park, WA on a tiny slip of a peninsula sandwiched between Willapa Bay, the Columbia River, and the Pacific Ocean. On the last day of our nine show Timberland Library tour, we’ll perform three shows back-to-back: Ilwaco @ 1pm, Raymond @ 4pm, and Olympia @ 7:30pm. A tight schedule to be sure, but we’re up for the challenge… that’s how we roll. Read more
