Ijeoma Oluo inspires action and change in her new book and there’s no better location to talk about how we can all play a part in changing the world than at one of our beautiful libraries. Join us for this conversation, facilitated by KCLS’ Social Impact Coordinator, Jayna Smith, at a private, after hours event where you will enjoy a generous cocktail hour of savory hors d’oeuvres and sweet desserts, local wine, craft beer, and live music from Shaun Crawford and Tim Kennedy of The Bushwick Book Club. Bushwick artists write and perform original songs inspired by books and Shaun Crawford will be writing and performing a piece about Ijeoma Oluo’s book, Be A Revolution.
You don’t want to miss this powerful combination and the conversation that it evokes.
Book included with ticket: Be A Revolution: How Everyday People Are Fighting Oppression and Changing the World―and How You Can, Too by Ijeoma Oluo
Proceeds from our Author Salon Series benefit KCLS Foundation’s funding of library system programs and services.
